Membuat konfigurasi router redhat 9.0

1.Sebelum kofigurasi router maka computer yang akan digunakan harus sudah terinstall paket server.
2.Setelah itu pasang 2 lan untuk komputer router 1 LAN untuk eth0 1 LAN lagi untuk eth1
3.Install LAN card eth1 dengan benar
4.Masukkan ip eth0 ,misal :

ip address :192.168.4.110
netmask :255.255.255.224
gateway :192.168.4.126
DNS 1 :202.134.0.155
DNS 2 :202.134.2.5
5.masukkan ip eth1, misal :

ip address : 192.168.1.1
netmask : 255.255.255.0
gateway :
-DNS 1 :
-DNS 2 :
6.konfigurasi ip forwarding
#IPTABLES -A FORWARD -i eth0 -s 192.168.4.110/24 -j ACCEPT
selain itu juga perlu menambahkan script dibawah ini dalam direktori dan file /etc/rc.local
echo "1">proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip-forward
7.konfigurasi ip masquerade,dengan perintah :
#iptables –t –nat –A POSTROUTING –S 192.168.4.110/255.255.255.224 -0 eth0 –J MASQUERADE
#iptables –t –nat –A POSTROUTING –S 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 -0 eth1 –J MASQUERADE
save iptables dengan : #iptables-save > /etc/sysconfig/iptables
tinggal sekarang ketikkan "service iptables restart"
-->konfigurasi ip client,misal
ipaddress:192.168.0.2
netmask:255.255.255.0
gateway:192.168.4.126
-DNS 1:202.134.0.155
-DNS 2:202.134.2.5
-lalu coba dari computer router ping ke 192.168.0.1,lalu ke 192.168.4.126,dan ke
192.168.0.2
-selanjutnya coba dari computer client ping ke 192.168.0.2,lalu ke 192.168.0.1,dan ke
192.168.4.126
-lalu coba dengan web browser buka google atau ping ke www.google .co.id
jika percobaan diatas bias maka berhasillah konfigurasi router
